Ars Electronica

Ars Electronica is the world’s largest media festival held annually in Linz, Austria. Placed at the intersection of art, technology and society, the five day event attracts over 100,000 international visitors. In response to the global health crisis posed by COVID-19, this year’s the festival will be held in a hybrid format. Under the title Kepler’s Gardens, over 120 partner locations around the world are interlinked in a network of virtual gallery spaces facilitated by Mozilla Hubs. Ars Electronica GARDEN AOTEAROA NEW ZEALAND

The Digital Research Hub and the arc/sec Lab at the University of Auckland are proud to host the Ars Electronica GARDEN AOTEAROA NEW ZEALAND, which showcases projects from artists, media companies, and scientists and researchers from New Zealand’s tertiary institutions. Opening Event

On Wednesday the 9th of September at 6:30 PM Associate Professor Uwe Rieger (DE/NZ) from the arc/sec Lab will be hosting a panel discussion involving artists and other contributors to this years festival to launch Ars Electronica Garden Aotearoa New Zealand.
